Vistumbler is a little dated but it still works, and on older laptop it
does its intended purpose, I can't find any light weight software, but
you can use an older version of Google earth to make the SSIDs, or
import the GPS tracts into Microsoft Street & Trips 2013

I went to eBay and tried to find the cheapest GPS unit

2 exe files
Setup_Sensor.exe - Install 1st then plug-in the GPS unit
Setup_VCP.exe - run 2nd, once done should install the unit in COM4 at
4200, change speed to 9600 (Device Manager)

Pharos GPS-500 & (These units are made by Microsoft)
THEY DO NOT WORK ABOVE WINDOWS 7
These units are made by Microsoft, I could not find any drivers anywhere
online. After a few days of searching I found them on my Streets & Trips
2013 Disk
Come to find out the Digital Driver signing in windows 10+ is no longer
there, so these units only work up to windows 7, also can't get them to
work with Kali Linux either

i did find
downholes\d077bcaedc2544e31a31fc6eb2876ce7.zip but did not use
you can find them on eBay for about $15.00
